\n \n LBCCS is a UK first-of-its-ki
nd Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) project\, being
developed by global energy company Eni with long-t
erm UK Government financial support to help delive
r industrial decarbonisation and clean growth. The
project spans the UKs North-West and North Wales<
br />\n regions and is set to capture\, transport
and store 4.5 million tonnes/yr of UK CO2 emission
s by 2030\, with potential to scale up to 10 milli
on tonnes/ yr.

\n United Infrastruct
ure – an established UK pipeline and utility netwo
rk delivery specialist - was chosen as EPC (Engine
ering\, Procurement and Construction) Contractor t
o deliver the onshore pipelines component of LBCCS
. This comprises 35km of new build CO2 pipelines a
nd Above Ground Installations (AGIs) and 30km of r
e-purposed pipelines. Detailed Design is largely c
omplete\, the construction site established\, tren
chless crossings (routing under motorways\, railwa
ys\, and watercourses) progressing well\, and main
line construction on the large diameter pipeline h
as been progressing at pace over the Summer.
