The Pipeline Industries Guild comprises of membership from across the pipeline industry\, reg ardless of engineering discipline\, application\, or qualification. The Guild's membership comprises those with interests in pipelines world-wide\, tr ansporting hydrocarbon products\, chemicals\, wate r\, wastewater\, and many other substances\, both on and offshore.

The Pro fessional Development Network (PDN) of the Guild\, looks to promote the opportunities and challenges of working in the pipeline industry and presents an excellent opportunity for entrants to promote t hemselves\, their companies and provide an insight into potential career paths to a new generation o f young people. This competition has been arranged to provide continuing professional development (C PD) to both entrants and audience members.

Eligibility
\n \nEntra nts must be between 18 and 35 years of age by the closing date for entries to the competition.
\n \nIf successful\, entrants must be available to present their presentation at their regional br anch competition which will be held between Februa ry and the End of April.
\n \nThe winners o f each regional final will then be invited to pres ent at the next National Pipeline Industries Guild Conference in June.

Ent rants should also be willing to share details of t heir presentation in PIG publications and to prese nt their experiences to help promote any future co mpetitions.

This competition has been arra nged to provide continuing professional developmen t (CPD) to both entrants and audience members.\n \ n \n \n \n \n \n \n The Challenge\n \n \n \n \n Submit a 250-word synopsis on any subject associat ed with the pipeline industry.\n Examples include but are not limited to: Waste & Potable Water\, G as\, Oil\, Health & Safety\, the Environment\, Log istics & Planning\, Engineering Design\, Engineeri ng Management.\n Presentations are encouraged fro m all business functions including academia and do not have to be engineering based.\n Entries will be assessed by a panel of judges and shortlisted candidates will be invited to present at the regio nal final.\n Each presenter will be required to g ive a 15-minute presentation on their chosen topic \, demonstrating their own personal involvement\, to an audience and panel of judges from the Pipeli ne Industries Guild and Industry Partners.
