The Utility Pipeline Projects Award was introduced in 2016 to showcase technical expertise, achievement and challenges overcome in delivery of Utility Pipeline Projects. We are delighted to have the Winners from the 2020 Awards, Thames Water, Agility Alliance, Morrison Water Services and DieDraw to speak about their winning entry.

This complex project involved 7 months of collaboration between Thames Water, Agility Alliance, Morrison Water Services & Die Draw Ltd to install 500m of PE100 liner into 36” 150-year-old cast iron main through the centre of London. This exciting project posed some extraordinary engineering challenges and a number of industry firsts. The location in a highly built-up area with heavy traffic presented unique challenges requiring the selection of a technology that minimized installation size and footprint, while maximizing flow post-installation. The Die Draw process was the obvious choice.

This project was awarded the Pipeline Industry Guild “Utility Pipeline Project” Award and the Die Draw engineering team will be discussing the project in detail in the Award Winners Webinar on Thursday 27th October at 12pm UK Time.
