Webinar: Improving Pipeline Burst and Failure Prediction for Water Utility Companies By Using Satellite InSAR Ground Movement Data

We will show that there is a strong correlation between burst pipes and differential ground movement seen in SatSense InSAR data. We have created a machine learning model that uses historical failures alongside several risk indices derived from Satellite InSAR data that dates back to 2015 to better predict underground pipe leaks and bursts. From this data, we can then rank sections of pipeline in order for water utility companies to better prioritise maintenance and ultimately to reduce costs.
Lastly, we will introduce our self-serve InSAR data platform, SatShop, which provides access to real-time data and provides historical InSAR data across the entire UK in real-time.
