Launched in 2026 the Future Leaders Award will recognise and develop high-potential individuals in technical and leadership roles from one or more of the following.
- Technical excellence
- Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) leadership
- Sector impact
Eligibility criteria
- Nominee must be within the first 10 years of their career within the industry.
- Nominee must have support/reference of a manager or senior member of staff.
- Nominee must be from an active Band 5 or 6 member organisation.
Award Criteria
The Pipeline Industries Guild Future Leader award will be presented to an individual who has demonstrated business acumen, technical capabilities and/or leadership qualities. This award is a great opportunity to showcase the nominee's experience to date, their credentials and be publicly recognised as a future leader by the senior leaders within the industry.
Nomination process
Entries are welcomed via self-nomination or nomination by a colleague.

Nominations must include:
- A summary of leadership qualities/achievements (400 words).
- A supporting reference from a line manager/senior leader within the organisation.
- Deadline for entries 30th April 2026
The winner will be announced at our awards event in September 2026 and will receive the following:
- Five expert coaching sessions
- 1:1 interviews with industry leaders focused on leadership insights, career advice and sector outlook.
- Featured article in the In The Pipeline magazine and shared on social media channels
