Midlands Branch Webinar: Environment Agency New National Flood Risk Assessment
Flooding poses a risk to infrastructure services and networks in many ways ranging from asset damage, a loss of access and inability to carry out critical or regulatory tasks and cascading failures related to system interdependency. Climate change exacerbates these risks with more severe and more frequent floods putting strain on members of the guild
To help places better plan and adapt to future risks from flooding from rivers, the sea and surface water, the Environment Agency is working to produce a new national flood risk assessment (NaFRA2), hear from experts at the Environment Agency and Jacobs who will provide a high level summary which outlines:
- What is NaFRA2?
- How does NaFRA2 work?
- How is NaFRA2 different?
- What will it produce?
- How will it help guild members identify assess and manage disruptive challenges posed by flood events.
