Join Laura Flowerdrew, Deputy CEO of Bristol Water & Adam Wynne Hughes, President of Stanley Oil & Gas to discuss their journey from Apprentice to Director.

Laura Flowerdew (Deputy CEO of Bristol Water) – Laura joined Bristol Water in October 2018, having previously worked in a number of energy and natural resources business in senior finance positions including Bristol Energy, Anglo American and De Beers. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales, having spent over 11 years in practice working with water and energy utilities to provide advisory, assurance and transaction support services.


Adam Wynne Hughes (President of Stanley Oil & Gas) – Adam has 35 years of experience in construction/engineering with a track record of complex multi-disciplinary projects in Oil and Gas. His experience ranges from offices, supermarkets and infrastructure to gas plant projects, aviation fuel projects and both onshore and offshore pipelines. Adam also has experience of working in the water industry on both supply and waste treatment plants. Recent experience as a specialist subcontractor working around the world on Field Joint Coating and Automatic Welding has given him a greater perspective of Stanley Oil & Gas’ role within both domestic and international contexts. Adam acts as the legal director of numerous companies within the Stanley Oil & Gas portfolio.
