Webinar - Development of Strategic Water Resources in England
Prompted by policy announcements from government and regulators, a major programme of strategic water resource development in England has commenced, with the aim of addressing the long term challenges of climate change, population growth and protecting the environment.
This webinar will give an overview of the current position with respect to water resources in England and will cover the strategic options for developing further resources, with a discussion of the different resource types and formulation of best value plans.
Julian Welbank who will be presenting for this webinar is a Director of Welbank Water Consulting Ltd and has over 40 years experience within the water industry. After spells with engineering consultants working on UK and international projects, he was with Wessex Water for 21 years. He was Head of asset strategy with responsibility for business plans, strategic planning and reservoir safety. Now working for the West Country Water Resources Group as programme director for strategic resource options, he is a chartered engineer and fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
