The drivers to address water challenges within development are stronger than ever: water scarcity, environmental capacity and flood risk are becoming a very real constraint to growth.
Integrated Water Management provides an “innovative” solution to this challenge by combining blue/green infrastructure, technologies and behaviour change initiatives to make the most of opportunities to improve people’s lives, whilst also delivering co-ordinated management of water. This is vital to provide future resilience for our natural environment and society as a whole.

George Warren, is Anglian Water’s Integrated Water Management Lead. He believes that taking a more holistic approach to water management is urgently needed in the UK. Within this talk he will showcase some of the IWM projects he is currently involved in, including an update on the multi-partnered Ofwat Water Breakthrough Challenge funded “Enabling Water Smart Communities” project.
