Site Visit to Grain LNG

Registration is closed for this event
The Pipeline Industries Guild’s South East Branch are delighted to be hosting a members only site visit to Grain LNG, Kent.

Grain LNG’s facility is home to some of the world's largest above-ground LNG tanks, each with a working capacity of 190,000m³, enough to store over 2,100 London buses worth of liquefied natural gas. These huge tanks store large amounts of LNG and currently help meet more than 20% of the UK's gas demand.  Their size and capacity surpass those of the Royal Albert Hall, highlighting their significant scale.  Their advanced technology keeps the LNG at cryogenic temperatures, minimising natural boil-off and maintaining safety and efficiency. The system captures and recycles boil-off gas, increasing our energy management efficiency.  Their tanks also enable important services like small-scale LNG loading, providing the flexibility to respond quickly to market conditions.  This infrastructure plays an important role in strengthening the UK's energy resilience and security of supply.

Please note that numbers are limited for the day.

PPE will be provided on the day and further details will be issued once confirmation booking information has been sent.
