The PDN Competition has been arranged to provide young professionals with the opportunity to deliver a 15-minute presentation on any subject pertaining to the pipeline industry, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session from a panel of judges.
The finalists will compete to win the trophy and receive £250, a place in the national final held at The Pipeline Industries Guild Annual Conference on the 12th June 2025 and see their work publicised in the Guild’s “In the Pipeline” magazine.
The panel of judges from the Pipeline Industries Guild and Industry Partners shall award marks based on the following criteria:
- Relevance/potential benefit to the Pipeline Industry
- Originality and professional content of material
- Degree of personal involvement and depth of knowledge demonstrated in specified area
- Quality and enthusiasm of presentation; excitement/engagement and time limits
- Ability to deal with questions
- Presentation delivery and timing
