Midland Branch - Newark Water & Waste Improvement Project

Registration is closed for this event
Tim Sawyer CEng MICE, Programme Manager, Capital Delivery Infra, for the Newark Water & Waste Improvement Project will be giving an overview of the upgrade project including progress to date, challenges faced and more importantly why this work is needed.

Severn Trent Water are investing £60M in Newark, upgrading the sewers and water supply network throughout the town. The project will protect almost 400 homes and business from the risk of sewer flooding and provide a robust water supply for an expanding population.

A stakeholder influenced solution was developed with extensive use of tunneling to minimise disruption in the town. The scale and potential impact to the town has required extensive engagement with the local community.
