I started my career at firmus energy, a natural gas distribution company in Northern Ireland. Where I gained experience through different roles in design, construction, and operations. I then moved to Gas Networks Ireland after 4 years at firmus energy. I am currently working as a Design Engineer on the Transmission new connections team. It's really interesting to get to be involved in transmission projects as there isn't usually a lot of activity in the area of new connections.
I spend most weekends meeting up with friends, eating good food and also enjoy the odd adventurous activity. I love travelling and will always have my passport at the ready. I'm passionate about getting young people involved in wider industry activities and helping others develop which is why I wanted to join PIG. PIG provides opportunities to attend great training courses and events as well as meet new people. I've felt it has enhanced my career and want others to be able to experience the same.
