Advancements in pipeline leak and theft detection technologies 

Since 1995 Atmos has been addressing the challenges faced by other pipeline industries including oil, gas and chemical.  This experience has driven our innovation to help the water industry meet the ambitious performance commitments that they face. 

In this webinar we will be sharing our experiences and real life examples of pipeline leaks and thefts.  As well as the new technology and detection methods available to the water and wastewater industry to mitigate the damage caused by water leakage.

Shobana Sivanendran, Senior Associate, Aurora Energy Research


As an energy consultant with Aurora Energy Research, Shobana advises a broad base of clients including investment funds, government, developers and financial advisors on energy markets, strategy and policy in the UK and the EU. Her recent projects include a review of peak electricity demand forecasting for a national electricity system operator, analysis of the investment landscape for hydrogen electrolysers in Europe and a strategic report on investment in flexible energy assets in the UK, amongst others. Prior to this, Shobana completed her PhD in Engineering at the University of Cambridge and consulted on projects in the corporate, public and non-profit sectors in Asia and Australia.

 

Martin Duff – Business Development Director, Atmos International

 

Martin Duff is Atmos International’s Business Development Director, responsible for the water sector. Since graduating in BSc Geography & Environmental Management in 2007, Martin has spent most of his career in the water industry both in the UK and internationally, taking a number of different technologies to market.

 

Martin has focused on a variety of applications including surface water management, industrial and municipal water treatment, pump efficiency and leak detection, using his business development experience to create resilient supply chains that allow the water sector to tackle major challenges such as regulatory compliance, climate change, Net Zero and the energy crisis.

 

 

Harry Smith – Sales and Senior Research Engineer, Atmos International

 

Harry holds a dual position within Atmos of Sales Engineer, specialising in the UK and Europe, and Senior Research Engineer for some of Atmos’ key services.

 

Within his role Harry has a unique position of being customer facing to better understand the needs and challenges of pipeline operators and EPCs and being able to interpret them within the research & development team.

 

Since joining in 2014 Harry has played an essential role in the project management, scoping and delivery of multiple pipeline leak detection systems.
