firmus energy owns and operates a gas distribution network in the Ten Towns licence area. In addition firmus energy also supplies natural gas across Northern Ireland, to over 75,000 homes and businesses, both in the Ten Towns and the greater Belfast and Larne licence areas. Based in Antrim, firmus energy employs over 95 staff and together with its subcontractors delivers a first class service to both current and prospective customers. The development of firmus energy's Ten Towns gas distribution network began in 2005 and since then it has invested over ?90m building our network, laid over 900km of mains pipes across Northern Ireland and has connected over 25,000 domestic and commercial customers including many of Northern Ireland's largest businesses together with private housing, Housing Executive properties, schools, hospitals and small businesses. firmus energy's natural gas distribution network now extends from the north-west of the province in Derry-Londonderry to the south-east in Newry and Warrenpoint, connecting over 20 villages, towns and cities along the way.
