Leading pipe supplier FT Pipeline Systems has been providing steel water pipes, field joint protection systems (Canusa) and stop-tap replacement locking lids to the UK water industry for over 40 years. In the last 10 years, FTPS has added a range of pipe in pipe spacer/spider solutions, to their portfolio. In the 1990s a way of welding steel water pipelines together without damaging the internal epoxy linings was developed. Referred to as the EJoint system, it is now used on the majority of large diameter steel water pipelines in the UK, replacing cement lined steel pipes. Thousands of metres of pipes and associated fittings have been supplied to UK Major Infrastructure Projects, mainly in 600mm 2600mm diameter, across most of the UK water companies. Associated with the schemes, we also supply Canusa heat shrink joint protection or Stopaq visco-elastic solutions for the welded joints, and pipe spacers for tunneled sections. The spacers can be applied to all material types – not just steel – and a greater range of diameters. We have a number of supply chains, with our mainline pipes being manufactured by the Turkish mill Erciyas, who make the EJoint pipes to our client’s specification. Similarly, compatible EJoint fittings are made by Lortub in NE France. Lortub were the original partners who developed the EJoint 35+ years ago. FT Pipeline Systems is accredited to: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and holds an Achilles Verify Certification. Recently FT Pipeline Systems was accredited Carbon Neutral by Carbon Neutral Britain.
