LMR Drilling UK Ltd was founded in 1999 to provide specialist horizontal directional drilling services to the pipeline and civil engineering industries. The company has since grown in both size and reputation and offers these services to a global marketwith considerable experience in outfall, landfall and conventional drilled crossings.With the experience gained on over 350 crossings up to 4,000m in length and for pipe diameters up to 56? LMR provides industry leading expertise offering front-end feasibility and crossing design services and constructability reviews in addition toundertaking drilling works.Having developed the large pilot hole concept back in 2001, this technique was fundamental to the success of the projects on which LMR were awarded the PIG land-based pipeline technology awards in 2005 and 2006. The benefits have been more recentlydemonstrated on the successful completion of landmark projects at Milford Haven (3,000m x 457mm gas pipeline HDD) and the twin crossings of the Solent Waterway where each drill exceeded 3,900m in length.The company has an excellent safety, quality and environmental record and is committed to supplying innovative solutions and excellent value by working closely with consultants, other contractors and clients, managing the risks and effectively deliveringthe works.
