Martin Berry was unable to present prior to the Annual Dinner in March so has welcomed the opportunity to present his unique and challenging project to the Guild via a webinar.
The Lausanne Intake and Outfall Project on Lake Geneva, Switzerland presented the challenge of successfully installing the intake pipeline in a water depth greater than 80m without the use of divers or ROV’s.
Working together, Royal HaskoningDHV and TSM-Perrottet AG, (sub-contracted to Alpiq), developed and implemented solutions that optimised the design and installation technique for installing the pipelines at such depths.
