GUEST SPEAKER - DR NICK WHITE
The current focus of his work is on the implementation and rollout of biodiversity net gain for TCPA developments and the forthcoming approach to NSIP developments. His work covers legislation, the biodiversity metric and biodiversity net gain standards and guidance. In his role he works closely with developers of all types, landowners, national and local governments, eNGOs and academics.
As a non-ecologist he is now interested in how biodiversity and the natural environment can contribute towards wider social and economic benefits. He also has a strong interest in green infrastructure, especially in relation to urban and grey infrastructure resilience and performance.
He was also named in the ENDS Report Powerlist UK 100 most influential environmental professionals in 2022, 2023 & 2024.

Jo Parker is a Technical Director specialising in the management of buried assets focusing on the water industry and the Keynote speech will be titled 'The Water Industry and progress to Net-Zero'.

Anna Lea is a a Senior Project Manager within the Construction department at National Gas working on the SCO2T Connect and Project Union projects, developing the company’s first carbon dioxide and hydrogen transportation infrastructure.

He was voted one of the 200 most impactful environmental professionals, has been Society for Environment’s Professional of The Year and Business Green’s Leader of the Year. He’s provided recent commentary on environmental issues to Sky News, BBC Radios Four, FiveLive and Two, as well as national print media.

As a Chartered Environmentalist (Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Managment), Dan has sought to champion action for the Biodiversity and Climate crisis throughout his career. This has spanned diverse sectors and areas of work from strategic environmental leadership, managing parks, open spaces, and public realm, through to enhancing nationally important nature reserves, and overseeing landscape restoration projects.
