Dr Clayton Thomas PhD, MMet, BSc(Eng), ARSM, MICorr Clayton Thomas has a vast amount of metallurgical and manufacturing experience. Having studied metallurgy at Imperial College London and the University of Sheffield, he subsequently worked for British Steel in Rotherham prior to spending 10 years as the company metallurgist for Cameron in Leeds, who were a major supplier of oil and gas equipment. He is also a qualified corrosion engineer and has been a member of the Institute of Corrosion for over 25 years.
Dr Byron Williams, Dr Byron Williams graduated with a Ph.D from the University of Liverpool in 1992, following which he joined British Steel Technical as a Coatings Engineer. He left this post in 1999, and after working as a consultant with Metallgesellschaft GmbH, he joined Swansea University. After leaving the University, he joined Corus, followed by Rolls-Royce before joining BAE Systems in 2008. Since that time he has worked as a corrosion engineer on both the Astute and Dreadnought class submarines
