About the Company:
The East of England Energy Group (EEEGR), launched on 29th March 2001, is a leading trade body representing the energy sector and its supply chain across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, and Cambridgeshire. With a diverse membership of over 230 businesses—from multinational developers to small local suppliers—EEEGR strives to support every level of the energy industry in the region. EEEGR’s mission is to deliver value to its members through a variety of initiatives, including networking opportunities, business development, and skill-building events. The organization focuses on enhancing the region's energy sector by fostering collaboration and championing innovation. As part of this effort, EEEGR has introduced a set of Five Core Principles for Energy in the East of England, which guide their work towards a sustainable, inclusive future. These principles—Environment, Education & Skills, Economic Prosperity, Growth of Supply Chain, and Regional Engagement—serve as the foundation for driving growth, creating job opportunities, and advancing the region’s energy transition. A key priority for EEEGR is the promotion of renewable energy, alongside the continued importance of natural gas and the grid in achieving net-zero carbon emissions. By working closely with local and national stakeholders, EEEGR ensures the East of England remains at the forefront of energy innovation, sustainability, and economic growth, fostering both local and international business opportunities.
